New approaches in training fashion and clothing design education

ABSTRACT

The Ensad's Clothing and Fashion Design department is an example of new educational approaches in the field of Art and Fashion. Since 1997, the department of Fashion and Clothing Design collaborate with different art and fashion schools throughout the world : Canada, Germany, Scotland, England, Japan....., as well as with professional artists and top designers such as Lucy Orta, Philippe Guillotel , Marc le Bihan, Elisabeth de Senneville....


1/ The presentation using PowerPoint will explore the effects of the technological revolution of art and fashion design, its impact on society through new forms of representation such as digital imaging, multimedia, the virtual, interactive presentation and networks.


2/ We will focus on the transformations and the challenges that exist in the visual arts, the performing arts, music, imaging, architecture and design, while highlighting how these new tools generate new approaches in creation and education in the field of fashion and clothing design


3/ We hope to highlight the activities and initiatives of different partner organizations, as well as to offer both the public and Symposium participants a large panorama of current critical thought and production in the clothing and fashion design education.
